What's New:

In 1909, William Durant, a successful buggy manufacturer from Flint, Michigan, left the General Motors Corp. and teamed up with Louis Chevrolet, a well-known racecar driver, to design a new car. The Chevrolet Motor Car Company was born. The first car left the showroom in 1912, and in 1914 the ubiquitous bowtie logo – modeled after a wallpaper pattern Durant found in a Parisian hotel – became synonymous with compelling design and innovative American engineering.

From the start, Chevy hit the ground running and didn’t look back, selling more than one million cars by 1927. In true American spirit, Chevy revolutionized the car industry by introducing the concept of independent front suspension in 1934 – a technology that became even more valuable when one considers how rough the roads were back then – revved it up with the emergence of the Corvette and the Camaro in the 1960s and ’70s.
In just the last year alone, Chevy cars, SUVs and trucks have received a bevy of accolades and awards. Kelly Blue Book named the Chevy Malibu and the Chevy Tahoe two of its 2009 Best New Family Vehicles and the Chevrolet Traverse one of its 2009 Best New Family Vehicles.
The 2009 Chevrolet Malibu also ranks 1 out of 23 Affordable Midsize Cars, and was named an All-Star by Automobile Magazine for the second year in a row (2008 and 2009). The 2009 Car Book named the Chevrolet Traverse a Best Bet in the Large SUV Category, and Inside Line named Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 the Inside Line Editor’s Most Wanted in 2009.
Chevrolet stands tall as the manufacturer of some of the most famous American cars and trucks of all time, including the ’57 Bel Air, the Corvette, the Camaro, the Blazer and the Suburban. Today, GM’s best-selling brand is in the midst of revolutionizing its brand once again, by developing hybrid vehicles and other fuel-saving technologies. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced vehicle that doesn’t sacrifice on performance, the odds are that a Chevy will fit all your needs.
